Day 1 of 21…

Day 1 in the big brother house and tensions are high!!

It started well, beautiful morning sunshine. We went off to Tesco’s to get the shopping. The list had grown considerably since the beginning of the week. Fruit, crisps, cupboard stuff. Of course, beer and wine, I swear I saw Dad take some treats out to make room for their ‘treats’. Mum also bought enough food to feed a small country for the journey to Bristol and thank God she did.

We vacuum packed everything, jeans, jumpers, hoodies, quilts, pillows, blankets, you name it, it got sucked up. we even put in the Child of Prague for good weather, Dad couldn’t see out the back window and at 2pm we waved goodbye to Granny & Grandad and headed west.

Despacito was playing, we were all singing, laughing, the joy of starting our holiday it was like something out of a Julie Andrews movie, then for want of a better word, it all went to sh… hell. We hit traffic and everything changed. What should have been a great 2 hour trip turned into one traffic jam after another. The romance of the holiday for mum and dad was over before it started and neither one was talking. The sandwiches and treats were a great escape from what was a hideous long journey and I think if we had heard Despacito again Dad would have driven to Justin Beiber’s house and shot him.

To add insult to injury as we arrived in Bristol, the rain started. It was that misty rain, the one you know won’t end for the night. The people we are renting the van from had said to stay tonight and go to the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, as we drove passed the entrance to the fiesta everyone was leaving as this evening was cancelled.

So we finally made it to Liz and Adam’s and our van for the next 3 weeks. It’s brilliant! Very cool and everything you could possibly want is there. Liz had even bought us a new BBQ. Adam told mum and dad about a great pub down the road and we were all set to walk down but by the time we emptied the car, packed everything away and made the beds, the rain was heavier than ever and we decided that enough was enough and we would just call it a night. Me and Dad drove into the town to get chips and ice for the wine!

Mum always goes on about the best Oscar performance when we over react to things, so she bought an award to give out every evening, tonight’s winner was funnily enough was DAD!!

Forgot to say…. thank you Bill for the ear plugs, will let you know how it goes

  1. Maybe Mum and Dad could try a holiday without wine and beer….?

  2. Come on over in my direction
So thankful for that, it’s such a blessin’, yeah
Turn every situation into Heaven, yeah
    (Oh, you are…)
My sunrise on the darkest day
Got me feelin’ some kind of way
Make me wanna savor every moment slowly, slowly
You fit me, tailor-made love, how you put it on
Got the only key, know how to turn it on
The way you nibble on my ear, the only words I wanna hear
Baby take it slow so we can last long
    Don’t thank us Brian x
